Great Students Need Great Teachers

We are blessed to have great students AND great teachers at South Green St.! Obtaining Bible knowledge is intentional not accidental. Our Bible school program reflects God’s Word, has high expectations, AND requires invested Christians.

Teaching is part of worship AND service. I Peter 2:2 says As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby. Our children, new Christians, and growing Christians develop from knowing AND applying God’s Word…Great Teachers facilitate instruction.

Teaching is important because of doctrine. John 8:32 says And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 17:17 says Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. Multiple choice answers are not found in the content of the Bible. Great Teachers teach God’s Word.

Teaching mirrors a desire to become better. Hebrews 5:13-14 says For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Great Teachers understand their effectiveness parallels their commitment.

The mission of our Bible school rests upon staff growth AND commitment. An opportunity to grow AND demonstrate our vision will take place on October 28th (6 PM) and October 29th (9 AM). Michael Whitworth will present an Education Workshop focused on: program goals, lesson delivery, better Bible study, classroom dynamics, and the teacher’s spiritual life. Food and materials will be provided. Greatness begins with desire. Will you attend this event and desire to be great?
