What Are Your Goals?

Barely into 2018, we have an opportunity to review, reflect, and reset in regards to our spiritual lives. We have an opportunity to be better than we were. Challenges are inevitable, growth is optional. Setting spiritual goals is the first step to spiritual growth! Choose to grow…

Closer to Christ: 1 Peter 1:18-19 says knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Being aware of Christ’s sacrifice should motivate us to desire more knowledge about Him.

Closer to the church: Philippians 1:3-5 says I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now. Paul is appreciative of the team oriented approach that is shared between him and the church at Philippi. We are unified by one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, and one baptism (Eph. 4:4-5). Realizing this should cause to grow together & work together in all matters of the church.

Closer to the lost: Mark 16:16 says He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. The goal to share the this message with others is pleasing to God and should be at the top of our list of spiritual goals.

Let’s make 2018 productive for the Kingdom.
