Is Customer Service Important?

Customer service means doing what you can to help someone who has chosen your organization to meet whatever need they are seeking to have met. Regardless of whatever product I am after, the most important thing to me is customer service. When I think of the customer service model, I think of the Lord’s church. While the Lord’s church is not a “business,” I think we can draw a few concepts when providing support to those within the church and those in the world who are striving to have their needs met.

Why do people seek assistance from the Lord’s church? Matthew 11:28 says Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. People who are in need should know the church will try to provide comfort & assistance.

How do we treat those seeking assistance? Romans 5:8 says But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Do we show the same love & mercy we have been shown to others?

Will those seeking assistance from the church re- turn? John 13:34 says A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. Showing love will assure an opportunity to show others Jesus!

Do we respond to others as Jesus would?
