Life Is Short, Make It Sweet!

According to www.statista.com, females born in the USA in 2018 are expected to live to age 81 while males born in the USA are expected to live to age 76. That seems like a long time live on this earth but all of us have heard someone of this age or older say, “Well, it all happened so fast. Time just flew by.” Life does in deed go fast. Wouldn’t it be sad to be known as someone who is sad, negative, or disgruntled a lot of the time? We know everyone has challenges and circumstances may take our sunshine away briefly. However, God has high expectations for us!

Matthew 25:23-24 says His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ We have been blessed with talents, time, and resources. Are we using these things to be kind, considerate, and helpful to those we encounter?

Matthew 7:12 says Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Life is like a boomerang, what you throw out, will return. Let’s spend our time investing in others, we will be thankful we did.

Acts 20:35 says I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” We can give of our money and time but we must remember to give someone our positive attitude. All of us will be blessed.

Hopefully we will look back and say, “Life was short but it was sweet!”
